Mariama joined a Writing Lab with one goal: improve her confidence. She rarely spoke in class and often avoided sharing her ideas.

With mentorship and peer feedback, she built a short story rooted in everyday life in her neighborhood. At the community reading event, she read it aloud for the first time.

"I thought my ideas were too small. Now I know they can help someone else feel seen," she shared after the session.

Her story was later included in a youth anthology supported by Konima volunteers and local partners.

The impact goes beyond one publication. Mariama now mentors younger learners in her reading circle.
